Washington State Liquor Control Board Issues Decision Addressing Local Bans and Moratoria and Sets New Production Limits

The Washington State Liquor Control Board issued two decisions today regarding production limits and the issuance of licenses in jurisdictions that have enacted moratoria.

First, the LCB has determined that it will issue licenses to qualified applicants regardless of whether the local jurisdiction has enacted a ban or moratorium.

Next, production and licensing will be limited such that applicants who have applied for multiple licenses will be limited to one license and all production tiers will be temporarily reduced to seventy percent of their tier.

The LCB’s press release regarding these decisions can be found here.
