Last night, the City of Bellingham voted to renew its Interim Recreational Marijuana Ordinance, which can be found here.
The interim ordinance allows Marijuana production, processing, and retail facilities in the City’s Industrial Zones. Retail marijuana stores are allowed in Commercial as well as Industrial Zones. The relevant zoning maps can be found here.
Planning Staff is currently working on permanent regulations regarding recreational marijuana and recommended renewal of the interim regulations while this work continues.
Staff will likely present new marijuana regulations to the Planning Commission this fall. Stay tuned for updates on the City’s progress in drafting new marijuana regulations.
