Tomorrow evening, the Skagit County Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing on a set of permanent marijuana regulations. The Planning Commission agenda can be found here.
The proposed regulations prohibit outdoor marijuana growing facilities and restrict indoor marijuana operations to certain rural and industrial zones. Butane and propane extraction processes would also be prohibited under these new regulations.
Additionally, the regulations would prohibit new structures in the Ag zone such that marijuana businesses would only be able operate in existing buildings. Expansion of existing facilities would be not be possible under the proposed regulations.
